Adhesives

Adbond aqueous adhesives include both homopolymer and co-polymer emulsions, starch-based products and various specialised glues, resins and coatings. We also manufacture base emulsion products. Our polymerisation plant for emulsions is the only such facility in the country.

These products are available in a range of pack sizes, depending on the product involved. Our wide range of hot melt adhesives includes both conventional and pressure-sensitive grades, many custom designed for specific applications and all formulated using the most modern technology. We have the flexibility, knowledge and experience to enable us to specialise in the formulation & manufacture of quality custom-made adhesives, tailor-made to meet our individual customers’ specific needs.

Burgess Galvin adhesives are variously used by packaging producers, packaging end-users, food and pharmaceutical manufacturers, print finishers, the construction and advertising industries and many others. Typical applications covered include corrugated case and folding carton manufacture, litho lamination, paper and carrier bag production, multiwall paper sacks, tissue conversion, tube and core winding, edgeboard manufacture, carton, case & tray erection and sealing, envelope production, composite packaging, bookbinding and padding, labelling, woodworking and many other specialised product assembly, bonding and coating applications.

Our base emulsions are extensively used in the manufacture of wood glues, paints and adhesives.
